Pray for Houseguests
Based on 1 Kings 8:41-43

We are tempted to think that outward things (like a beautiful building, programs, etc.) will make people want to come and be a part of our church family. But King Solomon understood that the only thing that would draw people into God’s family was the Word of God. So he prayed on the dedication day for their new temple that God would draw people in by His Word and learn about true worship inside the temple. So we do the same. We pray for our guests in God’s house that God would draw them in by His Word and make them a part of His family and ours!

    Imitate the Trinity…Change the World
    Based on John 17:20-26

The Christian belief in God is unique. The Bible describes God as having three distinct persons, and yet he is not three, but one. In Jesus’ prayer he describes how the 3 persons relate to each other. As we imitate the way the persons of the Godhead relate to each other it changes everything in our lives. It makes us live for God and for others rather than for ourselves.

Be Filled with the Holy Spirit
    Based on John 15:26-27

The Holy Spirit can seem rather mysterious to people. People just don’t know much about Him. But Jesus said that the Holy Spirit carries out important responsibilities. He reminded the disciples of everything our Savior said and did so the Scriptures would be accurate. And he works in people’s hearts through the Word of God to bring them into God’s family. And he gives spiritual gifts! We want to be filled up with the Spirit as much as possible!

    Jesus Makes Us Missionaries
    Based on Luke 24:44-53

We are so easily distracted that we forget our mission – to be witnesses of what Jesus has done for us and others. God helps us to see our true purpose in this life, opens our eyes to the opportunities and promises to go with us in power.

Jesus Makes Us Missionaries – Children’s Version
    Based on Luke 24:44-53

Jesus ascension doesn’t mean our celebration ends. Instead it assures us that the party will never end. He calls us to point others to his victory so that they also can join us in the party of heaven.

What to Expect When Witnessing to Your Faith
    Based on Acts 14:8-18

Jesus told us to “go and make disciples” by sharing a message about our Savior. Sometimes that can seem to be intimidating and daunting. But when you know what to expect, it becomes that much easier. Paul and Barnabas shared their faith, too. As we examine their efforts and what happened to them, we gain insight into what we can expect in our evangelism efforts! Then we become more comfortable and confident in telling others about our Savior.
