Easter’s Divine Details
Based on John 20:1-9

It seems that there was a lot of running around going on with that first Easter Sunday. Mary and Peter and John were running back and forth from the tomb. There was a sense of urgency that day. There is also urgency among God’s people even now. There was also an overwhelming sense of joy on that first Easter, too. That joy still fills God’s people now. Urgency and joy. May those Easter details fill your heart and life as well.

    Rock Concert – Children’s Message
    Based on Matthew 21:1-11

Jesus said that if the people didn’t praise him, the rocks would cry out. However, the rocks won’t need to cry out because our lips praise him and we can tell others that he is the king!

The One You Love is Sick
    Based on John 1:17-27, 38-45

When Jesus’ dearly loved friend, Lazarus, was on his deathbed he waited before he came to visit him. It didn’t mean he didn’t love Lazarus. It meant that he had something even better in store for him. When God waits before he answers our prayers, he has something better in mind.

Greatness in the Kingdom of God
    Based on Matthew 20:20-28

James and John wanted to be great in the Kingdom of God. The only problem was that they didn’t really understand what greatness in the Kingdom was all about. Jesus teaches us how to achieve greatness in His eyes. It comes through two things:  sacrifice and service. We strive to be great, then, by following the way of our Savior (the very best example of greatness) by humbly serving others, mirroring the love of Jesus!

    Signs, Senses and Sight

    Based on John 9:1-7, 13-17, 34-39

It is an assumption we often make that when something bad happens in our life that is a sign that we are being punished by God for a specific sin we committed. However, Jesus addresses that poor assumption and shows us on the cross that we have no right to take credit for the good in our lives and no reason to be in despair for the bad in our lives.
